Afton graduated from Barron High School in 2014, she was a four-year all conference player, 3 of which being 1st-team all-conference. Afton helped the Bears make it to State in 2012, where she was selected to play in The Border Battle game and also selected to play in the WBCA All-Star game following her senior season. She continued on to play Division 2 basketball at Bemidji State University. Afton was the freshman coach and assistant varsity coach at Barron High School for the 2017-2018 season. She also coached youth traveling basketball for 2 seasons. Afton is currently working on finishing up her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science.
